Neothink Learning

First, I would like to acknowledge I printed and read all the literature associated with Level 9. I totally agree with everything covered including what’s in the Twelve Visions Party, what’s in the Prime Law, and that Government more than often gets in the way of people’s prosperity, Government should be Serviced Based and not Power Based.

Today, I would like to share my visions of learning in the Neothink World. I see the World of Today, much time and energy is wasted on learning, school should be made fun and keep a students interest all through growing up and learning should continue throughout one’s life, always learning new things and preparing for new jobs, always readying for excitement ahead.

All through one’s school years, students usually take a varied curriculum going forward and these courses should continue including Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Health, Safety, and Phys Ed, Mathematics, the Arts, and Computers should be added.

I see schools being set up a little differently, we all know the key to learning is the human need, (healthy nourished, and comfort), good teaching whichs include good teaching tools, learning (adding homework and studying is fun), and finally engagement (interacting with fellow students, teachers, and associated others, knowledgable people or maybe other students sometimes from other lands).

I see schools set up a little differently, students might travel to a school maybe twice a week, a student might do school three times a week.

When students travel to school, the classroom becomes a magical place. Many classrooms have magical whiteboards and some classrooms depending on the subject have 3d models. It could be a model of the human body, plastic making equipment, a laser light hologram, whatever model is appropriate for the lesson.

Classrooms will have these magical boards along with the students have tablets with interactive whiteboards, the teacher can zip you a math problem for them to solve the problem using a stylist pen. Pictures can be captured off the magic board onto ones tablet. The tablet allows interactive discussions, share diagamming with the teacher, can take quizes, and also take tests. The IPad can take drawings, capture pictures, and allows the use of keyboard and an ABCD or True/False key for quiz and test taking.

Students have the capability to use audio in the tablets to such as for spelling, hear a word, spell it, maybe add the definition.

The tablets sometimes are used for writing computer coding or writing a story or a research project with access to an encyclopedia.

There are many magicboards throughout the school each one is set up for the next level of education. Some magic boards have special features, for example one student might be an Ameican student on the other side of the world might be a Chinese student, you can see each other, you can write and say chinese words they write and say english words. One can make friends around the globe learning many languages or could be a project.

Many lessons are project based, it may be building a bridge, it may be running a factory, setting up a business, writing a computer program, making a video, etc. A team is formed and work together often on projects each working a different aspect.

Phys. Ed is another area that gets increased emphasis in school. Engagement and Interaction is important. Each year some new sports gets introduced or a phys. ed activity is introduced. Teams are formed, students learn and then have competition and gain knowledge of many sports.

Now courses at home. The schools of tomorrow might be set up with immersion booths. Think of an immersion booth as an arcade game. The immersion booth has a desk with a number of screens, also equipped with a comfortable chair able to go to different positions.

Some subjects might be movie based, for example much of history could be often based on watching a movie. It could be World History or American History. Some of these subjects can be more understood from a movie than reading a text book. Sometimes a teacher can talk about the politics of history or make some points. A student can really get comfortable set their seat in lounger position and have the screen a comfortable distance from their eyes set up for deep concentration.

Sometimes a student has to read in their immersion booth, the student watches text on their screen, reading is a little different it includes whisper reading, text being read quietly aloud along with highlighting of the text. Sometimes a second screen shows with visable examples, something highlighted from a picture the text is talking about. Whisper reading and highlighting can be turned on or off. Studies show listening, looking, and highlighted test drastically improves retention and understanding of material being read.

Some lessons are watching a teacher give a presentation. Some teachers are harder for one person to follow than others. If your teacher teaches a lesson and one does not understand, the student can go into the youtube archives and get the lesson from another teachers perspective.

Many times when a student is taking a lesson from home, the student might be interacting with a teacher by interacting on a dash board. The teacher sees all the students from their dashboard and can give and take information such as from an interactive whiteboard. A lot can be transmitted green if the student solved a math problem correctly.

Now talk about studying for tests. Many lessons have a chapter with text and then questions in back of the chapter. There are often four steps to studying a chapter. 1)Read the chapter 2)Review the questions in the back of the chapter 3)Find the answers to the questions inside the text and 4)rewrite the answers to the questions in the back.

What can be done to make the studying a little more easier and not such a task, have each question in the back of the chapter a different color, the student used their stylus pen clicks the number of the question and finds it in the text and if he selects the right spot the answer lights up in the same color as the question and also the answer appears after the question. The task feels less of being hard work and the student retains more.

Studying for tests is often thought of as hard work. What if studying for tests often is made into a game. For example you might start with like a monopoly board game. A person rolls a die and up pops a question and the question has abcd. Answer the question correctly, you capture the square or if it’s yours you add another house, if you land on someone else’s square and you get the answer wrong they take money from you.

Games like Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Risk, or Geography Map etc. can be used and can make studying for a test fun, you may play against other students in class and sometimes you watch how they answer and see if they get the answer right.

Many different types of screens can be kept in an immersion booth rotated to put the right screen in hand for the topic at hand. Students use checklists to show what needs to be done and if all homework or the lesson gets done, a green light appears.

If a student does not pass a test, the student can review the material and take the test again. Many subjects show a lesson with other teachers that have taught the same subject in their style using Youtube, or text with whisper reading can happen again, a third possibilty is have a teacher meet with the student for a tutor session.

If a student does not pass a class after 3 tries, the student moves on to the next lesson, maybe after a year, the student comes back to that lesson, hopefully with a little more knowledge and maturity takes and hopefully passes the lesson this time.

The student gets credit for every course that he or she passes all kept in the school library all electronically lesson by lesson.

The student spends about 24 hours a week in formal lessons, another 8 hours doing homework and allowed 8 hours for test taking.

Maybe you can make it, if parents approve, if the student gets their homework, the immersion booth will allow a student access to arcade gaming if one wishes.

School should be made into fun, pressure is off, the students should no longer be measured against each other, the lessons should not be used in trickery, asking trick questions, or for ranking in a class. A student is measured whether they passed every subject regardless on the amount of times a student takes a subject to pass it.

The focus is to make school fun through every subject, don’t add to society pressures, make life learning fun and create paradise on earth all through the learning years and learning continuing about upcoming jobs as an adult.

My take on Neothink Learning!
